Aside from being visually stunning, Korean calligraphy brings with it single phrases or characters that represent complex and insightful ideas, such as Bohn.
Bohn refers to the origin, the foundation and the essence of different Earthly phenomena. Author, philosopher and calligraphy artist Ilchi Lee believes that individuals may use the concept of Bohn to help them in a journey of spiritual growth.
Lee says that there is almost always a deeper meaning or more complex source to problems than most people can see on the surface. Bohn can help individuals remember to first think of the origin of an issue when beginning to brainstorm solutions. They should think of the principles behind the phenomena which perturbs them, and may find a viable answer.
Secondly, people should remember their true nature and do not compromise its purity in their quest for insight. Facing problems with a strong heart and a powerful will is key.
Once the root of the problem is pondered, individuals should face it with bravery and honesty. They will begin to feel their brain potential increase and conflicts may soon fade away.
