Brain Sensitizing

As Ilchi Lee guide in his book that in this first step, you become very aware of your brain and its importance in your life. Much of the work is done on the physical level since the connection between body and brain is strengthened at this point. Yoga, tai chi, ki gong, and martial arts are examples of mind-body exercises used to establish Brain Sensitizing. As each muscle in your body is moved and every nerve stimulated, corresponding areas of the brain are also awakened. As a result, balance and coordination in your body are improved.

Basic meditation and energy sensitivity techniques are also recommended at this stage as these will help you to develop better concentration and heightened awareness. By learning to view ki energy as in Yoga the source of communication between body and brain, you are empowered to begin changing habits that negatively affect your body and mind. Breath work is also used to help restore energetic balance while releasing stress and restoring mental clarity.

See Both Sides

This content suggested by Ilchi Lee, the founder of Dahn Hak and Dahn Yoga:

Think of something nonhuman in your house that you interact with every day. It could be an object, like a TV or a toaster, or maybe a beloved pet. Now, write a complete description of this thing, telling all about how it looks and acts.

Then, write a description of yourself, from the point of view of the object. How do you look from its perspective?

Are you the owner of your own brain

Submitted by:Dr. Ilchi Lee

We all have a brain. Yet, often we don’t realize who is the master of our brain?. If you let others or your environment decide what type of information comes into your brain, and what your brain is used for, then you have basically forfeited your inherent right to the use of your own organ. You are allowing the agendas of other people and organizations to dominate your brain.

“Are you the owner of your own brain?” This is akin to asking, “Are you the master of your own life?” How can you become the master of your brain? The rightful master of our brain is our True Self. With the awakening of our soul, we can recognize our true selves and begin the process of taking back our brain.

The birth of Brain wave vibration

Ilchi Lee has been teaching Brain Wave Vibration for years. Previously, he called it Jin-dong, which literally means “vibration exercise.” The purpose of this training was to open the energy system of the body for improved health. In those days, the focus was on the flow of energy through the body in the more conventional sense of traditional Asian medicine. Through the years, however, Ilchi Lee has come to realize the role of the brain in this process. Thus, the name for this training is now Noe-pa-jin-dong, the word noe-pa meaning “brain wave.” The brain orchestrates our bodily functions, and it is through the brain that we make the choices that determine the quality of our life experience. As Lee’s understanding has increased, Ilchi has come to see that the brain is the key to mental and physical health.

Ilchi Lee suggests that if you have had difficulty making your reality follow the wishes of your mind, it is because you have not taken the time to change the tool with which you can change your reality. In other words, you have not taken steps to train your brain.

On the surface, it is easy to convince yourself that your thinking is positive, but in reality you may have many layers of negative thought that can undermine even the most sincere effort for positive change. Brain Wave Vibration offers a way to break through the layers of self-negating thought patterns so you can shake them off and begin again. For this purpose, we will look directly at the bodily organ that produces thought–the brain–and we will attempt to tap into its full ability through a remarkably simple and effective technique.

In D H Yoga Brain Wave Vibration training helps reawaken your natural healing abilities by activating your brain stem. Your brain stem is critical to your health because it is the area of your brain that controls breathing, heart rate, stress response, and all the many other automatic functions of the body.

In a way, this training helps you integrate your neocortex with your brain stem. If you are under continual stress, it is likely that your brain stem cannot create equilibrium in your body. Your neocortex, which is the thinking part of your brain, is continually sending messages to your brain stem that keep you in a fight-or-flight state. For example, your thinking mind may continually generate messages like “You are not keeping up with the competition” or “You are not being a responsible parent.” Hearing the alarm generated by your brain, your sympathetic nervous system puts your body into the fight-or-flight state, which increases your heart rate, brings tension to your muscles, and generates a host of other bodily effects.

The parasympathetic nervous system is also there, waiting to return the body to the rest-and-digest state, but if you cannot learn to quiet the messages of alarm from the neocortex, you will be left in an almost constant state of stress. Eventually, the stress response creates great wear and tear on the body, and many stress-related problems come about precisely because the brain stem is never given the chance to create balance in the body.
